Sodium Hyaluronate(normally call as Hyaluronic Acid) is the sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid, it is a polymer of disaccharides, which are composed of D-glucuronic acid and D-N-acetylglucosamine, linked via alternating beta-1,4 and beta-1,3 glycosidic bonds. It was first found by Karl Meyer in 1934 and named hyaluronan.
Sodium hyaluronate can be obtained by extracting from cockscomb or through microorganism fermentation. The product in our company is all fermented products. The stain is Streptococcus equi subsp. Zooepidemicus, one of the naturally occurring lactic bacteria, and it does not involve any recombinant process. Commercial available hyaluronic acid is commonly its sodium salt form - Sodium hyaluronate.
Sodium Hyaluronate distributes widely in human body, such as in connective, epithelial, and neural tissues. Sodium Hyaluronate can be found in synovial fluid, hyaloids of eyes, skin and umbilical cords of mammals.
Sodium Hyaluronate plays an important role in human biologic activity. With the increase of age, content of Sodium Hyaluronate in the body will decrease. The decrease of Sodium Hyaluronate content in human body will weaken the water retaining ability of the skin, make the skin look coarse and wrinkle; lead to arthritis, arteriosclerosis, plus disorder and brain atrophy, and finally premature senility.
Sodium Hyaluronate is a safe agent for plastic surgery and many medical applications, as Sodium Hyaluronate is already found in human body, no need to worry about the immune responses or reject by our body.
